Time Control: Qualifier Tournament: Game/10 minutes +5 second increment per move.
Final Stage: Game/15 minutes +10 second increment per move.

IMPORTANT NOTE!  The top 25 players in each section will qualify for the in-person Hybrid Final Stage. However, US Chess cannot guarantee that we will be able to organize a Tournament Hall within the USA. There will be no exceptions to playing the Hybrid Final Stage outside of a Tournament Hall and your entry into the Online Qualifier constitutes acceptance of the notification that no such Tournament Hall(s) exist in the USA at this moment in time, and the possibility exists that no such Tournament Hall(s) will be organized by US Chess within the USA. Participants will be responsible for all additional Finals registration fees and all travel and accommodation costs.

Players may only enter one section and must be eligible by age and gender. For each section, players must not have reached their 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th, 14th, 16th or 18th birthday respectively before January 1, 2021. Please use the following list for determining age eligibility:

  • Born in 2003 or later - eligible for Under 18
  • Born in 2005 or later - eligible for Under 16
  • Born in 2007 or later - eligible for Under 14
  • Born in 2009 or later - eligible for Under 12
  • Born in 2011 or later - eligible for Under 10
  • Born in 2013 or later - eligible for Under 8
  • Born in 2015 or later - eligible for Under 6

Registration deadline for all USA players is July 30, 2021. A current US Chess membership through the end of the tournament is required for all USA participants. You may renew your US Chess membership if necessary at https://new.uschess.org/become-member. A USA-flagged FIDE ID is required for all USA players. If you do not currently have a FIDE ID, please complete our FIDE ID Request Form at https://forms.gle/2J8rx4QoVsgw7PQx9.

The tournament will be played on the Tornelo platform using your Tornelo email address provided during registration. Each Tornelo email address must be unique, players cannot have the same Tornelo email address as each other.

Completion of this registration form constitutes acceptance to abide by all fair play procedures specified in the event regulations and the ability to meet any technical requirements. Any violation of the fair play regulations may lead to exclusion from all official FIDE chess tournaments, including over-the-board events for a period of up to 15 years as well as possible sanctions by US Chess.

Refund of the entry fee only ($20) will be provided for withdrawals received prior to July 31, 2021. No refunds will be provided for withdrawals received on July 31, 2021 or later. The additional event fee ($5) is non-refundable.
