Description
Classes hosted by RedBandit Chess for students in grades 6-12 follow a unique executive functions-based curriculum. The curriculum is designed to help students simultaneously develop chess and crucial life skills. More about our approach and executive functions. The primary focus of the class time will be spent on instruction with some time dedicated for practice games. Participants should already be familiar with the basic fundamentals of the game, have received prior instruction and/or participated in tournaments. - Instruction by the team of RedBandit Chess instructors including Expert Alex Iosifovich.
- Maximum 10-1 student-teacher ratio. See more about our team here. Classes will be limited to a maximum of 10 participants.
- Students that may need to miss any given Saturday class may attend one of our Sunday chess team classes from 10:15-11:30am as a make up. Parents must contact us ahead of time to confirm.
Notes - All classes are drop-off only. During good weather parents are welcome to make use of the outdoor patio with seating or parents may leave and return at the end of the class. Click here for a list of things to do nearby.

Terms - By registering for this event, you give permission for images of your child, captured during participation in RedBandit Chess LLC (RBC) programs and events through video, photo and digital camera, to be used solely for the purposes of RBC promotional material and publications, and waive any rights of compensation or ownership thereto. RBC will never publish photos with names without permission. Please send a request via email if you prefer no photos of your child to be taken.
- Cancellations received in writing one week prior to the start of classes will receive a full refund (minus a $10 processing fee). Send requests to iharris@redbanditchess.com. No refunds one week prior to the start of class and onwards.
- Participants are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate and sportsmanlike manner at all times. Anyone unable to do so may be asked to leave and/or be suspended from participating in future events without refund.
