Norwalk Knights Chess Tournament: Saturday, November 22nd (Details TBD)


This chess class is provided completely FREE and is sponsored by RedBandit Chess and the Norwalk Public Library.  This session features eight weeks of instruction and play by National Master Ian Harris and other experienced coaches of RedBandit Chess.  In addition to the basics, each class will include a lesson on an important topic including openings, middlegame strategy, calculation and more.  Participants in grades K-12 of all abilities are welcome!  No prior experience necessary.  This session will culminate with a beginner friendly chess tournament on Saturday, November 22nd.  

Registration is required.  Space is limited.  


Terms

  1. By registering for this event, you give permission for images of your child, captured during participation in RedBandit Chess LLC (RBC) programs and events through video, photo and digital camera, to be used solely for the purposes of RBC promotional material and publications, and waive any rights of compensation or ownership thereto.  RBC will never publish photos with names without permission.  Please send a request via email if you prefer no photos of your child to be taken.  

  2. Participants are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate and sportsmanlike manner at all times.  Anyone unable to do so may be asked to leave and/or be suspended from participating in future events.
