Scholastic Chess Classes (Winter 2025)

NOTE: Class times have been adjusted slightly to 9:30-10:15am and 10:30-11:30am

Full Session Morning Classes (10):  January 5, 12, 19, 26; February 2, 9, (No class 2/16 or 2/23); March 2, 9, 16, 23; Make up if needed: March 30th

Included

• Instruction by the team of RedBandit Chess instructors including National Master Ian Harris in a premier setting. 
  
  
• Maximum 8-1 student-teacher ratio.   See more about our team here.  Classes will be limited to a maximum of 12 participants.  
  
  
• Each student will receive a curriculum workbook with extra lessons and exercises. 
  
  
• Enrolled students receive 50% off all RBC scholastic tournaments (Dates TBD) during the semester.  

Details

Classes hosted by RedBandit Chess for children in grades K-8 follow a unique executive functions-based curriculum.  The curriculum is designed to help students simultaneously develop chess and crucial life skills.  More about our approach and executive functions.  The primary focus of the class time will be spent on instruction.  

Notes

1. All classes are drop-off only.  During good weather parents are welcome to make use of the outdoor patio with seating or parents may leave and return at the end of the class.  Click here for a list of things to do nearby.  
   
   
2. Directions/Parking: Plenty of free off-street and street side parking is available.  Please do not park in or blocking any driveways or garages.  Click here for more details including precise directions and parking information.  
   
   
3. 10% sibling discount per additional child enrolled in either class.  Enter code "Sibling" at checkout.

Terms

1. By registering for this event, you give permission for images of your child, captured during participation in RedBandit Chess LLC (RBC) programs and events through video, photo and digital camera, to be used solely for the purposes of RBC promotional material and publications, and waive any rights of compensation or ownership thereto.  RBC will never publish photos with names without permission.  Please send a request via email if you prefer no photos of your child to be taken.  
   
2. Cancellations received in writing one week prior to the start of classes will receive a full refund (minus a $10 processing fee).  Send requests to iharris@redbanditchess.com.  No refunds one week prior to the start of class and onwards.  
3. Participants are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate and sportsmanlike manner at all times.  Anyone unable to do so may be asked to leave and/or be suspended from participating in future events without refund.
