Notes/Terms: | ON-SITE REGISTRATION FEE: $50. *No on-site registration for Future Masters. By registering online, you will not need to check in at the registration desk. Upon your arrival, verify that you are on the posted pre-tournament pairing list. Please bring a copy of your confirmation email in the event there is an error. **USCF-rated, except where noted. Bring clocks and score pads. PRIZES: AWARDS CEREMONIES begin as soon as possible, after each section completes. Future Masters: Trophies to top 3 scorers; Other sections: Trophies to top 5 (minimum score of 2) plus all players scoring 3 points or more; Medals to all players scoring 2.5 points in each section. K-1 and K-1 Novice: Medals to all K-1 section participants and trophy to top Kindergartner (or pre-K). Additional trophies to top 3 under 750 in Reserve, top 3 unrated in Booster and top 3 unrated or under 300 in Primary. Teams: Trophies to top 3 school teams in each section except Future Masters (minimum 2 players for a team; top 4 scores counted per team). Grand Prix: Students who play in five (5) or more tournaments in rated sections may to eligible for Grand Prix awards. Non-rated sections do not earn Grand Prix points. Byes: Please note, No byes are offered in Future Masters. Refunds/Cancellation Policy: If you cannot play in an event you have registered for, you may withdraw by emailing tournaments@nscfchess.org PRIOR TO THE TOURNAMENT and claim a credit for a future tournament during the same academic year. Credits will not be carried over to the next academic year. Emails must be received by 8:30 am on the day of the tournament. NO SHOWS without prior notification forfeit the entry fee. You may request a refund for any credit(s) not used by the end of the academic year. Refunds must be requested prior to the last scheduled tournament of the season (May 2, 2020) and will be processed 7 days after the final tournament. To request a refund, email tournaments@nscfchess.org Refunds will be subject to a $10 administrative fee. Supervision & Photo Release Policy: All participants under 16 must have an adult supervisor during the tournament. The NSCF does not provide supervision between games. Also note: Photography and/or video recording occurs at most NSCF tournament events. By registering your child for this event, you hereby give permission for your child's name and/or picture to appear on the NSCF website/promotion. If for any reason this is not acceptable, please advise tournament staff PRIOR to the start of the tournament.
