INSTRUCTOR:  National Master Nicholas Rosenthal

DESCRIPTION: This class is for students who already know how the pieces move and the rules of the game or have completed a beginner/novice-level course. In this series of 6 classes, the instructor will motivate students to continue growing in their knowledge of chess and learn how to deal with winning and losing.

This course introduces chess tactics and combinations, as well as how to keep pieces safe and avoid common errors. Students will learn about the relative value of pieces, how to evaluate positions, and make good trades. They will be able to put these concepts into practice by playing against others in the class.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a series of classes. We will not accept students for a single class or on a pro-rata basis. Any questions, please contact Robert or Mo by email or by calling the office: (754) 229-5901.

If you do not already know Coach Nick, read his bio on our Sunrise Instructors page.
