Program Description

  • Daily casual gameplay for players in grades 3 - 8 from 1 - 3 PM Monday to Friday at the Way of the Sword Fencing Club (21 Governor Street, Ridgefield, CT). 

Dates and Times

  • 1 - 3 PM, Monday to Friday (July 22nd - July 26th)

Location: Way of the Sword Academy Fencing, Archery, Chess Clubs (Located in the Donnelly Plaza Shopping Center, 21 Governor Street, Ridgefield, CT)

Addendum

  • Coach Devin, a Way of the Board chess club assistant teacher and member of the Danbury High School chess  club, oversees the program.
  • Players from the Way of the Sword fencing/archery/chess camp also play chess from 1 - 2 PM (they may also play from 2-3 PM).  
  • Players in grades 3 - 8 are the suggested age range.  Younger players who know at least the basic rules of chess (ie castling/check/checkmate) will also enjoy the gameplay. 
  • Players who have a US Chess ID may input their ID to indicate their OTB rating when registering, but this is optional.  A US Chess ID is not required for camp registration.
  • First two players registering receive a $25 discount with promotion code ILOVECHESS.
